What is Pantone’s colour of 2016?

Rose Quartz and Serenity – a mix of a cool, tranquil blue with warm, embracing rose tone. Check out a step by step tutorial of FM makeup using some of the most fashionable colours selected by experts from the Pantone Institute.  The colour of the year comes from the Pantone Institute’s colour selection. The fame came from Pantone’s past in the printing industry where it developed its own, unique colour scale. The success of the Pantone Matching System has seen global brands adopt the colour scheme and use it within their design collections. This led to the Pantone Institute, every December, publishing their top colours for the coming season along with the key colours of the year. However, this year, in a break with past tradition, Pantone decided to select a combination of two colours rather than the traditional one: Rose Quartz and Serenity – a mix of a cool, tranquil blue with warm, embracing rose tone. Artists and designers have been inspired by Rose Quartz and Serenity tones in designing clothing, furniture and cosmetics.
